The NHS is full of Acronyms and sometimes confusing terminology. I’ll try to keep this page updated with the ones I frequently use.
IG - Information Governance, this is the umbrella term for things to do with confidentiality, including policies, processes and legal obligations
NHS England - this is the Department of Health
NHS Digital - the part of NHS England tasked with looking after I.T.
